T\u00f6renin ilk konu\u015fmac\u0131s\u0131 olan Etem \u00c7al\u0131\u015fkan\u2019\u0131n o\u011flu Raci \u00c7al\u0131\u015fkan, babas\u0131n\u0131n yaln\u0131zca bir sanat\u00e7\u0131 de\u011fil, ayn\u0131 zamanda bir \u00f6\u011fretmen oldu\u011funu ifade etti. \u00c7al\u0131\u015fkan, babas\u0131n\u0131n \u00f6mr\u00fc boyunca say\u0131s\u0131z \u00f6\u011frenci yeti\u015ftirdi\u011fini ve onlar\u0131n eserlerinin bug\u00fcn \u00fcniversitelerde ders olarak verildi\u011fini s\u00f6yledi. Raci \u00c7al\u0131\u015fkan konu\u015fmas\u0131n\u0131n sonunda; “D\u00fcn \u00e7ocuklu\u011fumun son g\u00fcn\u00fcyd\u00fc.” dedi. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Se\u00e7er, Etem \u00c7al\u0131\u015fkan\u2019\u0131 “Cumhuriyet ayd\u0131nlanmas\u0131n\u0131n en \u00f6nemli sanat\u00e7\u0131lar\u0131ndan biri” olarak tan\u0131mlayarak, \u00c7al\u0131\u015fkna’\u0131n bir hattat ustas\u0131, ressam, d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcr, vatansever ve bir Atat\u00fcrk\u00e7\u00fc oldu\u011funu ifade ederek onunla ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirdi\u011fi sohbetlerden faydaland\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 ifade etti. Se\u00e7er, “Etem abinin hat\u0131ras\u0131 \u00f6n\u00fcnde sayg\u0131 ile e\u011filiyorum. Kendisine gani gani rahmet diliyorum. Mek\u00e2n\u0131 cennet olsun” diyerek, sanat\u00e7\u0131n\u0131n T\u00fcrkiye i\u00e7in ne kadar b\u00fcy\u00fck bir kay\u0131p oldu\u011funu vurgulad\u0131. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mersin Valisi Ali Hamza Pehlivan da Etem \u00c7al\u0131\u015fkan\u2019\u0131n hayat\u0131n\u0131 ve eserlerini takdirle anarak, “Gen\u00e7lerimize \u00f6rnek bir ya\u015fam yolculu\u011funu geride b\u0131rakt\u0131” dedi. \u00c7al\u0131\u015fkan\u2019\u0131n \u00e7ok say\u0131da sanat dal\u0131nda iz b\u0131rakt\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 ve bu eserlerin herkes i\u00e7in bir gurur kayna\u011f\u0131 oldu\u011funu belirtti. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
