Buran\u0131n tarihi ad\u0131 Korykos&#8217;tur.<\/p>\n<p>K\u0131zkalesi, tarih i\u00e7inde Selevkoslar, Romal\u0131lar, Bizansl\u0131lar, Sel\u00e7uklular, Ermeniler, Frans\u0131zlar\u0131n (K\u0131br\u0131s Krall\u0131\u011f\u0131), Karamanl\u0131lar ve Osmanl\u0131lar&#8217;\u0131n hakimiyetinde kalm\u0131\u015f \u00f6nemli bir yerle\u015fim b\u00f6lgesidir. Yap\u0131lan ilk kaz\u0131larda buraya ilk yerle\u015fimin M\u00d6. 4. y\u00fczy\u0131la ait oldu\u011funu g\u00f6steriyor. \u00dcnl\u00fc tarih\u00e7i Herodot, bu \u015fehri Georges ad\u0131nda K\u0131br\u0131sl\u0131 bir prensin kurdu\u011funu yazar. Milattan sonra 72 y\u0131l\u0131nda Roma hakimiyetine giren K\u0131zkalesi, 450 y\u0131l Roma y\u00f6netimine ba\u011fl\u0131 kalm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Ermeniler&#8217;in 14. y\u00fczy\u0131lda artan Karamano\u011flu sald\u0131r\u0131lar\u0131 nedeniyle K\u0131br\u0131s Krall\u0131\u011f\u0131&#8217;na satt\u0131\u011f\u0131 ve \u00f6nemli bir ticaret liman\u0131 olan K\u0131zkalesi, 1448 y\u0131l\u0131nda Karamano\u011flu \u0130brahim Bey taraf\u0131ndan ele ge\u00e7irilmi\u015f ve yeniden imar edilmi\u015ftir. 1471&#8217;de Osmanl\u0131lar&#8217;\u0131n eline ge\u00e7en K\u0131zkalesi bu d\u00f6nemde \u00f6nemini kaybetmeye ba\u015flam\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Bug\u00fcn, K\u0131zkalesi&#8217;ndeki \u00f6ren yerlerinde kalelere, kiliselere, sarn\u0131\u00e7lara, su kemerlerine, kaya mezarlar\u0131na, lahitlere, ta\u015f d\u00f6\u015femeli yollara rastlan\u0131lmaktad\u0131r. K\u0131y\u0131daki kalenin 500 metre a\u00e7\u0131\u011f\u0131ndaki k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck bir adac\u0131k \u00fczerine kurulu kaleye, K\u0131zkalesi denilmektedir. Son y\u0131llarda restore edilen K\u0131zkalesi, sekiz kuleyle korunmu\u015ftur. Kalenin d\u0131\u015f \u00e7evre uzunlu\u011fu 192 metredir.<a class=\"highslide\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-28520\" href=\"https:\/\/epochtimestr.com\/index.php\/mersinin-kizkalesi\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-28520\" src=\"http:\/\/www.epochtimestr.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/ocak 2011\/k_Yusuf_kizkulesi3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>K\u0131zkalesi&#8217;nde eski d\u00f6nemlerden kalma 4-5 tane kilise bulunmaktad\u0131r. Su kuyular\u0131 ve sarn\u0131\u00e7lar\u0131n yan\u0131nda, Lemas \u00e7ay\u0131ndan su kemerleri ile getirilen sular, K\u0131zkalesi&#8217;nin su ihtiyac\u0131n\u0131 kar\u015f\u0131lamaktad\u0131r. B\u00fcy\u00fck kiliseye giden ta\u015f d\u00f6\u015feli Kutsal Yol&#8217;da, yol boyunca dizilmi\u015f irili ufakl\u0131 lahitler g\u00f6renleri hayrete d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcrmektedir.<\/p>\n<p>K\u0131zkalesi&#8217;nin 10  km kuzeyinde yer alan vadinin y\u00fckselen kayal\u0131k yamac\u0131na oyulmu\u015f ve Adamkayalar ad\u0131 verilen insan kabartmalar\u0131 bulunmaktad\u0131r. D\u00f6nemin y\u00f6netici ve soylular\u0131n\u0131 simgeleyen kabartmalardaki fig\u00fcrlerde, kimi elinde \u00fcz\u00fcm salk\u0131m\u0131, kimi kanepeye uzanm\u0131\u015f haldedir. Roma d\u00f6neminden kalma toplam 13 tablodan olu\u015fan Adamkayalar, \u015eeytanderesi&#8217;ne hakim bir yerdedir.<a class=\"highslide\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-28521\" href=\"https:\/\/epochtimestr.com\/index.php\/mersinin-kizkalesi\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-28521\" src=\"http:\/\/www.epochtimestr.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/ocak 2011\/k_Yusuf_kizkulesi4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"197\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Yakla\u015f\u0131k 1500 haneden olu\u015fan K\u0131zkalesi&#8217;nin n\u00fcfusu 8139&#8217;dur (2000 y\u0131l\u0131 n\u00fcfus say\u0131m\u0131na g\u00f6re). Yaz mevsimi geldi\u011finde yazl\u0131k n\u00fcfusu 30000 civar\u0131na \u00e7\u0131kmaktad\u0131r. K\u0131zkalesi bug\u00fcn Mersin ve Erdemli turizminin sembol\u00fc haline gelmi\u015ftir. Yerli ve yabanc\u0131 turistlerin yo\u011fun ilgisini \u00e7eken kaleye, k\u0131y\u0131dan bal\u0131k\u00e7\u0131 motorlar\u0131 ile ge\u00e7ilmektedir. Yaz mevsiminde b\u00fcy\u00fck bir turizm yo\u011funlu\u011fu ya\u015fanan K\u0131zkalesi&#8217;nde 15000 yatak kapasitesi vard\u0131r. Mevcut turizm tesislerinden b\u00fct\u00fcn y\u0131l boyunca faydalanmak m\u00fcmk\u00fcnd\u00fcr. K\u0131zkalesi&#8217;nde yerli ve yabac\u0131 turistlerin g\u00fcvenle girebilece\u011fi biri 300 metre, di\u011feri de 1200 metre uzunlu\u011funda iki plaj vard\u0131r. K\u0131zkalesi, yerli ve yabanc\u0131 turistlerin g\u00fcvenle tatil yapabilecekleri bir yer haline gelmi\u015ftir. E\u011flence ve al\u0131\u015fveri\u015f merkezleriyle dikkatleri \u00e7ekmektedir. Yaz sezonunda kasabada yap\u0131lan k\u00fclt\u00fcr, turizm ve spor festivalleri kasabaya canl\u0131l\u0131k getirmektedir.<\/p>\n<p>Yerli halk\u0131n\u0131n b\u00fcy\u00fck k\u0131sm\u0131 Aya\u015f T\u00fcrkmenleri taraf\u0131ndan olu\u015fturulmu\u015ftur. T\u00fcrkmenler konar-g\u00f6\u00e7er hayattan yerle\u015fik hayata ge\u00e7mi\u015fler ve \u00e7ift\u00e7ilikle u\u011fra\u015fm\u0131\u015flard\u0131r. Yaz mevsimi geldi\u011fi zaman Avgad\u0131 ve Akp\u0131nar(P\u0131narba\u015f\u0131) yaylalar\u0131na \u00e7\u0131karlar. \u0130\u00e7me suyu problemi olmayan K\u0131zkalesi kasabas\u0131nda, sulama suyu Lemas \u00e7ay\u0131ndan cazibe yoluyla getirilmektedir. Bu su yeterli olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131 i\u00e7in sondaj kuyular\u0131 ve kuyulardan da istifade edilmektedir. Kasabada halk ge\u00e7imini tar\u0131m ve turizmden sa\u011flamaktad\u0131r. Hayvanc\u0131l\u0131k art\u0131k can \u00e7eki\u015fmektedir.<\/p>\n<p>1992 y\u0131l\u0131na kadar k\u00f6y iken ayn\u0131 y\u0131l i\u00e7erisinde kasaba stat\u00fcs\u00fcne al\u0131nm\u0131\u015f ve belediyelik olmu\u015ftur. K\u0131zkalesi kasabas\u0131, Merkez, Toroslar, Akdeniz ve Mavideniz olmak \u00fczere d\u00f6rt mahalleden olu\u015fmu\u015ftur.<\/p>\n<p>Sa\u011fl\u0131k oca\u011f\u0131 bulunan kasabada iki eczane mevcuttur. Acil 112&#8217;de merkez durumdad\u0131r.
