Afyon\u2019un merkezinde, kalenin bulundu\u011fu tepenin g\u00fcneybat\u0131s\u0131nda yer alan Ulu Cami, Sel\u00e7uklu d\u00f6neminde 1272 tarihinde Sahip Ata o\u011fullar\u0131ndan Nusret\u00fcddin Ahmet taraf\u0131ndan yapt\u0131r\u0131lm\u0131\u015f. 1341 y\u0131l\u0131nda da Karamano\u011fullar\u0131 d\u00f6neminde ise onar\u0131mdan ge\u00e7mi\u015f.<\/p>\n

Tavan da tamamen ah\u015fap. Yap\u0131, 40 ah\u015fap direk \u00fczerine oturtulmu\u015f olmas\u0131 sebebiyle \u201cK\u0131rk Direkli Camii\u201d olarak da an\u0131l\u0131yor. Ulu Cami d\u0131\u015ftan moloz ta\u015fl\u0131 olup \u00fc\u00e7 s\u0131ra kesme ta\u015f hat\u0131llarla \u00fc\u00e7 b\u00f6l\u00fcme ayr\u0131lm\u0131\u015f. Kuzeyde ve bat\u0131da iki giri\u015f kap\u0131s\u0131 bulunuyor.<\/p>\n
